As a rule, we have been provided with a telephone number or an e-mail address or a name, along with contact details, by a client authorised to do so for the purpose of conducting the survey, in the context of order processing in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR.

If you have been contacted in the context of one of our studies, on request we will of course provide you with the name and contact details of the controller as well as the contact details of the respective data protection officer.

3.  What personal data do we use or process?

Personal data means information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. In the context of our studies, this may include the following data:

First name, surname, address and other contact information, such as your phone number, mobile phone number, e-mail address or IP address.

4.  Purpose of contacting you

When carrying out projects to process our clients’ orders in the field of market/social research, we require contact details in order to contact you. These are generally anonymous market research studies that are not for the purpose of sales or advertising.

Your participation is always voluntary and you always have the option of having your contact details made unavailable or deleted.

5.  Legal basis of data processing

The legal basis for processing personal data is Article 6 (1) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in furthering economic interests.

In principle, the GDPR permits the processing of personal data in our studies:

  • on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 (1a) GDPR) or
  • for the fulfilment of contractual obligations (Article 6 (1b) GDPR) or

It is not envisaged that  personal data be disclosed to third countries or international organisations.

Personal data are routinely stored for a period of 6 months after completion of a project. The data are stored in order to be able to fulfil subsequent requests for information and provide quality assurance measures. If our customers voluntarily participate in competitions, this may extend the retention period up to the time the winner is drawn. Immediately after the interview is carried out, the data are pseudonymised.

It is not required in order to conclude a contract. You are not required to provide personal data.

Please also note that you have a right to lodge a complaint with one of the data protection supervisory authorities under Art. 77 (1) GDPR.
